What happens when two self proclaimed nerds have to postpone their wedding twice because of Covid? They make the absolute most of it. When we found out that Karen and Kyle had booked the Museum of Science for their wedding after their original plans were thrown off by the pandemic, we saw stars (literally). We were SO excited for them and knew that we would have so much fun nerding out with them through all of the different exhibits.

But let’s back up a bit- we first met Karen and Kyle for their engagement session at the Middlesex Fells Reservation and we instantly hit it off. We couldn’t stop laughing and the connection they had was so genuine that we just couldn’t stop snapping. Add in the fact that it was a dog park and we got to love on all the doggos- it was the perfect day.

Karen and Kyle both took the pandemic in stride. You could tell they were obviously bummed that they had to postpone, but boy was it worth it. Their faces lit up when they told us that not only had they booked the Museum of Science, but that they’d be having their ceremony in the Theater of Electricity, and would have the chance to go into the lightning cage after. We were SO EXCITED.

On the day of the wedding, you could tell that they were both ready. They had waited long enough and it was finally time to get the party that they deserved. We couldn’t get enough of Karen’s dress- it was simple but so sparkly and was the perfect compliment to an already electric day- and we thought Kyle’s eyes were going to pop out of his face when he saw her at the first look!

Then it was time to explore the museum- we had the whole place to ourselves and couldn’t get enough of all of the fun and unique spots that we were able to go- there were dinosaurs, cool mirrors and so many other super cool locations- we had to drag ourselves away for the ceremony!

The ceremony was everything they could’ve asked for- surrounded by all of their friends and family, with Karen’s best friend officiating, you could feel the love all around them. Then to top it off, it was time for the lightning cage. Karen and Kyle were smiling ear to ear as it got lifted, and we were able to capture some truly once in a lifetime photos!

Finally, it was time to party! And boy did they PARTY. The dance floor was absolutely packed from the very beginning, and there was even a special guest appearance of a certain prehistoric type! The party got so wild that Kyle may or may not have come prepared with an extra shirt to change in to, and it came in handy!

We are so happy that we got to capture this amazing nerdy day for Karen and Kyle. They are the true example of making the most out of a bad situation- and it paid off so well. You just have to be ready to take the curveballs that life throws you and run with them. Congratulations again Karen and Kyle!
