Holly and Jake’s big day was beautiful beginning to end. Taking place at the amazing Beauport Hotel in Gloucester MA right on the beach. Every part of the venue was picture perfect- it felt like we stepped into a magazine.

Holly and Jake met five years ago at a fitness fundraiser called Avapalooza. When we asked Jake when he knew he wanted to propose to Holly, his immediate answer was “day 1”. It was clear the connection they had was so strong. With their shared passion for fitness, they’ve been able to create a great lifestyle for themselves based around that- with Jake owning his own gym, Drive Custom Fit, and Holly teaching classes there. When the two aren’t working out together, they enjoy traveling, paddle boarding, lounging around the house and being beach bums together, which makes their beach side wedding a given.

The beach is also a special place to this rockstar couple because it is where Jake proposed to Holly on an early morning walk.... on his birthday, which holly was planning a surprise party for him later. Little did she know there would be more than one surprise that day. “It was super early so no one was down there yet. The water was calm. It was perfect!!” Holly describes.

We arrived at the Beauport as Holly and the girls were getting ready. Holly’s brother Robby was doing everyones hair while Sea Glam did everyones make up. When finished, everyone looked straight out of a magazine! Holly was surrounded by love with her mother, mother-in-law, brother, and her gorgeous bridesmaids and junior bridesmaid, Jake’s niece. The room was filled with love and laughter as we snapped some candid moments, with a celebratory bottle of champagne right before the ceremony.

Once Holly was in her dress and ready to roll we did a first look with her dad. Her dad showed up with the biggest smile, you could tell how excited he was to see his little girl, and for the rest of the day to come. We got him in position for the first look and brought Holly out, and the pictures say the rest. His look of pure shock and joy were so genuine, it melted our hearts. In his words, his “Holly-Dolly” was getting married! It really set the tone for the rest of the day!

We showed up to Jake’s hotel room while him and his guys were finishing up getting ready. Jake was making some old fashioneds for everyone while they finished up the final touches. There was laughter and hugs all around as they geared up for the ceremony. We asked Jake how he was feeling as it was minutes from the ceremony and he said he’s been ready for this moment for years

The outdoor ceremony was beautiful, even though it was a hot summer day the breeze from the ocean cooled it down just right. Jake and Holly’s ceremony was full of love, laughter and amazing little moments. Right from the get go, you could tell the energy from the guests was full of excitement to see Jake and Holly get married. With the beautiful ocean as their backdrop, they exchanged their vows, promising their love to each other. They completed the ceremony with a special unity candle ceremony with their parents. As soon as Holly and Jake shared their first kiss, the party had started. Everyone danced their way down the aisle, ready to dance the night away.

During cocktail hour the guests were serenaded by Mark Menery as they enjoyed the hor d’oerves. We stole the bridal party and family to take some portraits on the beach. The sun was glistening off of the ocean and everyone kicked off their shoes and ran through the sand. Holly and Jake were troopers as our inspiration was flying for all the beach portraits in the golden light. Our favorite moment from the bridal portraits was as we were walking down the beach, a few of their guests were watching from above. As we got closer they immediately started cheering and screaming for them to kiss. Jake enthusiastically pumped his fist and dipped Holly for a big kiss, and the cheers behind us got even louder. When we finally finished though they were eager to get back to the cocktail party and get the night started.

Everyone was introduced and danced and spun their way into the reception area as the DJ got everyone riled up and ready to party. Holly and Jake shared their first dance as husband and wife as everyone watched with love. The parent dances, as usual, brought tears to our eyes behind the camera. (FYI we do this A LOT so don’t be surprised if we tear up at your wedding we’re suckers for these precious moments). It was clear how much family meant to both of them- Jake proudly spun his mom around, showing her off to all of his guests, and Holly’s dad couldn’t have looked more happy to share the dance with his little girl.

Once the DJ opened the dance floor for open dancing the place filled up. This definitely was not a shy group, everyone was dancing up a storm as we tried to squeeze our way into the dance floor to get some shots. We stole Holly and Jake one more time for some sunset pictures outside and then let them go in and enjoy the rest of their reception and dance the night away.

Holly and Jake, thank you so much for an amazing night. You guys were absolute rockstars in every way!
