This fall wedding was one for the books. Courtney and Brian got married at Josiah’s meetinghouse on September 29thand it was all the fall vibes.
Courtney and Brian came to us after being with each other for over 4 years and told us all about their ideal vision for their wedding. They wanted a fall wedding and the rustic vibe that Josiah’s had to offer complimented that perfectly. They were easily one of the most laid back couples we’ve gotten to work with. They knew what they wanted and were ready to roll with the punches when things didn’t go exactly to plan.

We arrived at Brian’s parents place as they were all finishing up getting ready. It was clear that they were all excited to get the day started. They were ahead of schedule (which never happens at weddings) so we snapped some candid photos while they hung out, talking about the night to come and sharing stories. Brian shared that their beloved pet Bailey that past away was an important part of their day. They had her ashes and photo right up their with them during their vows which clearly meant a lot to them… (queue the tears)

Courtney was getting her hair and makeup done at Josiah’s when we showed up. All the girls were eagerly getting ready and doing all of their final hair and makeup touches. Even Ellie, the beautiful flower girl and Courtney’s daughter, was participating in the fun. Even hours before the wedding when little things were popping up, as they do in weddings, Courtney kept a clear head and went with the flow of things.. very impressive considering she was also 9 months Pregnant and still a total Rockstar.

The sun was shining and the air smelt of falling leaves as the ceremony began. Although there were some nerves right before walking down, everyone walked out with smiles on their faces. And Ellie totally stole the show from the beginning.

During the vows Courtney and Brian looked into each others eyes, they laughed and cried and said I do. Family and friends cheered as they made they way back down the aisle ready to start the night.

Now we mentioned that Courtney was 9 months pregnant and had already been running around all morning… we then took them all around Josiah’s while we chased the gorgeous light for their bridal portraits. We can’t express enough how amazing they were while we dragged them through fields and all around in order to get those beautiful portraits we knew they’d cherish for years to come despite how tired they were growing.

Once we were done torturing them with portraits, everyone lined up for their introductions. Everyone danced their way into the reception hall eager to get the party started. Courtney and Brian shared their first dance together with everyone watching, tearing up, and cheering. The parent dances were equally tear filled as we caught a glimpse of Ellie crying at her mother and grandfather sharing their dance…again queue the tears.

Once the formalities were out of the way and everyone stuffed from the delicious dinner from Tuckaway Tavern, it was dance time. We wiggled our way through as the dance floor quickly filled up. This family was not shy we promise you that.

The rest of the night was filled with laughter. The best man speech left everyone cracking up and then more dancing followed.

Did we just become best friends?
Not yet, but what're you waiting for?
