From the first meeting we had with Bre and Ken at Book and Bar in Portsmouth, we knew that they were going to be our ideal kind of clients! They were equally excited, organized and silly. They pulled off their beautiful mountain side wedding in under a year (something we are very envious of) They told us all about their vision and we were immediately excited.

Bre and Ken met in fall of 2013 at Colby-Sawyer; Bre was starting her sophomore year of college, and Ken was entering his freshman year. Ken was quickly introduced to Bre’s group of friends by Pat, who had lived in Ken’s room the year prior, and wanted to see who was currently living in it. Ken would hang out with Bre and her roommate, Amy, throughout the first semester, and by November of 2013, they were dating.

We asked Ken when was the moment he knew that Bre was the one. Ken answered with “I knew in my heart her wanted to be with Bre forever long before I bought the ring, she makes it hard to leave”

Bre realized the moment Ken was the one during a long weekend in August of
2015. Bre had gone to visit Ken in New Hampshire where they went to
Canobie Lake Park, cooked for each other, and played video games. By the
end of the weekend, Bre knew that she had completely fallen in love with Ken.

Shortly after our first meeting we met with Bre and Ken at Mt. Sunapee for a
venue visit for their big day in a month! Getting to know them better, we asked
how Ken proposed! Ken told us that in June of 2019, Bre had recently been
sworn into the US Army. He called her on her way back from Portland, Maine,
to congratulate her and to see if she wanted to go out to celebrate! They
drove to Portsmouth, NH, where they would often spend countless hours
walking around and enjoying the scenery. Ken took Bre to one of her favorite
spots in Portsmouth, Peirce Island. They walked to a secluded area where Bre
looked out at the water at some baby ducks, and turned to point them out to
Ken, but was surprised to see him down on one knee! He was asking her to
marry him. Bre said yes!

Early afternoon at Mt. Sunapee, Bre and the girls were preparing for the day with hair and make-up, mimosas in hand of course! The girls shared laughs and memories as they helped each other into their dresses and then all came together to help Bre into her wedding dress. We then took some quick candid group shots while they waited for everything to be ready.

Over at Ken’s cabin, the boys were having fun getting ready and goofing around. Ken was doing a quick run-through of his vows when we spotted a drawing and asked what it was he explained how he wrote all his vows on the wrong page so decided to doodle on it. Later, when we asked to take some silly pictures they jumped (literally) at the idea.

The weather was gorgeous for their outdoor mountain-side ceremony. Family and friends gathered at the base of Mt. Sunapee watching as bre and Ken exchanged vows and shared their first kiss as husband and wife. Everyone cheered as the newlyweds walked down the aisle hand in hand, stopping at the end to share another kiss before getting the reception started.

After stealing them away for some bridal portraits, Bre and Ken were eager to get the party started! The bridal party was introduced as they danced their way into the reception hall; family and friends clapped and cheered them on!

The rest of the night was full of many laughs and lots of dancing! Bre and
Ken’s first dance was slow and romantic and then they surprised everyone as
they burst out into a wild dance off! kicking off their shoes and showing everybody that it was party time.

Donuts were provided by Rise and Shine Bakery and we can personally attest to how awesome they were! (FYI, we can never turn down donuts)

The night was captured in candid moments of everyone dancing and having
an amazing time! The day was perfect and it was clear to everyone the love
Bre and Ken share for each other! We are ecstatic they trusted us with
capturing their special day and wish them nothing but the best!

Did we just become best friends?

Not yet, but what're you waiting for?
